  1. 1. The interaction of dissolved hydrogen with α-radiolytic oxidants during nuclear fuel dissolution

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Lovisa Bauhn; [2017]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; α-radiolysis; MOX; hydrogen effect; bromide; gas mass spectrometry; SIMFUEL;

    Abstract : Used nuclear fuel contains radiotoxic elements that will need to be kept isolated from the biosphere over a time period of 100 000 years. The KBS-3 geological storage concept aims to prevent the migration of radionuclides into the environment by different engineered barriers. READ MORE

  2. 2. Catanionic Surfactant Mixtures and Binary Systems of Modified Fatty Acid Surfactants. Phase Equilibria and Structure

    University dissertation from Malin Bydén Sjöbom, Dept. of Natural and Environmental Sciences, Mid Sweden University, SE-851 70 Sundsvall, Sweden

    Author : Malin Bydén Sjöbom; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2002]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; coacervation; asymmetry; bile salt; didodecyldimethylammonium bromide; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi; catanionic surfactant mixture; intermediate phase; a-methylsubstituted sodium carboxylate; dodecylpyridinium bromide; ionic surfactant; polarizing microscopy; FT-PGSE self-diffusion; 2H NMR; SAXS; liquid crystal; micelle; phase equilibria; phase diagram;

    Abstract : Surfactant self-assembly is an important phenomenon that occurs in a number of processes in our everyday life. It is important to understand the forces and parameters that control and influence the self-assembly, as this knowledge can be used both in order to design surfactant systems with desired properties and for creating model systems, for example for biological processes. 3. 3. Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Copper(I) Complexes with Hard Donor Ligands

    University dissertation from Malin Bydén Sjöbom, Dept. of Natural and Environmental Sciences, Mid Sweden University, SE-851 70 Sundsvall, Sweden

    Author : Björn Gustafsson; [2004]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Acetonitrile;  -Sparteine; Chloride; co-ordination chemistry; Phenoxide; Alkene; Bromide; crystal structure; Copper I ; Amine;

    Abstract : Syntheses and crystal structures of nine new copper(I) complexes and one novel mixed-valence copper(I/II) complex are reported: two homoleptic phenoxides and eight complexes with N-donor ligands. The copper(I) and the copper(I/II) phenoxide complexes have been prepared by reactions between mesitylcopper(I) and 2-allyl-6-methylphenol in toluene. READ MORE

  4. 4. Stable bromine isotopic composition of methyl bromide Method development and applications

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Applied Environmental Science (ITM), Stockholm University

    Author : Axel Horst; Stockholms universitet.; [2013]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Abstract : The isotopic composition of ozone depleting methyl halides may provide valuable information on the sources and sinks of these compounds. However, so far mostly stable carbon isotope analysis of methyl chloride and methyl bromide (CH3Br) has been attempted. READ MORE
