  1. 1. Structure and function of the SH3 domain from Bruton´s tyrosine kinase

    Author : Henrik Hansson; KTH; []
    Keywords : nuclear magnetic resonance; src homology 3; bruton s tyrosine kinase; x-linked agammaglobulinemia; gel permeation chromatography; signal transduction;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  2. 2. Molecular biology of Brouton's tyrosine kinase

    Author : Carl-Magnus Bäckesjö; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : X-linked agammaglobulinemia; XLA; Bruton s tyrosine kinase; Btk; signal transduction; phosphorylation; pleckstrin homology domain; PH; SH2; SH3.;

    Abstract : X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) is caused by an arrest in the B lymphocyte differentiation. XLA patients lack mature B-cells and subsequently antibody production. The defective gene causing XLA is the BTK gene, which codes for the protein Bruton s tyrosine kinase (Btk), a cytoplasmic enzyme related to the Src family of kinases. READ MORE

  3. 3. In vitro and in vivo studies of Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) mutations and inhibition

    Author : Hernando Yesid Estupiñán Velásquez; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a non-receptor protein kinase that belongs to the TEC family kinases. It plays an important role in the B-cell receptor signaling pathway (BCR) and its pharmacological inhibition has been demonstrated as an effective strategy for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. 4. 4. Molecular dissection of Bruton’s tyrosine kinase signaling in hematopoietic cells using RNAi

    Author : Juhana E Heinonen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : RNA mediated gene silencing, RNA interference (RNAi), has recently been identified in mammalians. This thesis describes the utilization and development of RNAi based tools for signal transduction research. The effects of Bruton s tyrosine kinase (Btk) down-regulation with RNAi have been studied with gene expression profiling in hematopoietic cells. READ MORE

  5. 5. Gene expression analysis of Tec family kinases in B- and T-lymphocytes

    Author : K Emelie M Blomberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The microarray technology is a powerful tool used in many different research areas. The technique has been around for more than a decade and has revolutionized the molecular biology field. In this thesis the Affymetrix GeneChip® arrays were used to study the transcriptomes of Tec family kinase mutant mouse models. READ MORE
