1. Model-based Analysis and Design of Atomic Layer Deposition Processes
Abstract : Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a thin-film manufacturing process in which the growth surface is exposed to non-overlapping alternating injections of gas-phase chemical precursor species separated by intermediate purge periods to prevent gas-phase reactions. ALD is characterized by sequential self-terminating heterogeneous reactions between highly reactive gas-phase precursor species and surface-bound species which, when allowed sufficient conditions to reach saturation, results in highly conformal films, on both planar and topographically complex structures. 2. Functional and morphological MR studies in congenital cardiovascular malformations
Abstract : The aim of this study was to evaluate new MR techniques permitting qualitative and quantitative analysis of cardiac function and measurement of velocity and flow, and later on contrast-enhanced MR angiography, techniques largely unexplored in children with CHD. Infants with tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect were examined pre-operatively. READ MORE

3. Signaling via Orexin Receptors : A Pharmacological Study
Abstract : The orexin receptors are a pair of newly discovered G-protein coupled receptors which are activated by the neuropeptides orexins and play a role in sleep/vigilance, apetite/metabolism and neuroendocrine regulation. On a cellular level receptor activation results in, to name but a few effects, elevation of intracellular calcium and depolarisation. READ MORE

4. Transcription factor effects on chromatin organisation and gene regulation
Abstract : The intranuclear DNA of all eukaryotic cells is packed into chromatin, generating a repressive environment for the genome. Remodelling of the local chromatin structure is a vital process that allows access to the obscured DNA sequence and may induce the expression of specific genes. READ MORE

5. Psychological treatment of outpatients with substance use disorders in routine care : attachment style, alliance, and treatment outcome
Abstract : Background: Substance use disorder is one of the most important threats to health and welfare in the world. More knowledge is needed about the outcomes of treatments in routine care for patients with substance use disorders (SUDs). These patients often suffer from psychological distress in addition to substance use disorders. READ MORE
