  1. 1. In vitro-solubility and supersaturation behavior of supersaturating drug delivery systems

    Author : Amani AlHayali; Sitaram P. Velaga; Sandra Klein; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Health Science; Hälsovetenskap;

    Abstract : The development of new pharmaceutical products has been challenged by the growing number of poorly water-soluble drugs, which often lead to suboptimal bioavailability. Various approaches, such as the use of amor-phous solid dispersions and cocrystals, have been used to improve the solu-bility, and subsequent bioavailability, of these drug molecules. READ MORE

  2. 2. Quiescent regimes in cosmology

    Author : Hans Oude Groeniger; Hans Ringström; Mattias Dahl; Todd Oliynyk; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quiescence; Bianchi spacetimes; big bang formation; G2 cosmology; Wainwright-Hsu variables; Klein-Gordon equation; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : This thesis is about cosmological solutions to Einstein’s equations of general relativity, in particular spacetimes whose mean curvature diverges. Moreover, we consider anisotropic spacetimes with big bang singularities. In this setting the singularity is expected to generically be oscillatory if no matter is present. READ MORE

  3. 3. Arbetsterapeutisk träning efter höftfraktur : aktivitetsförmåga och hälsorelaterad livskvalitet

    Author : Birgit Hagsten; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Hip fractures constitute a common injury leading to reduced functional abilities. In a randomised trial we investigated whether an early, individualised occupational therapy training programme had any effects on patients' (> 65 years) post-operative ability to perform activities of daily life (AM), and instrumental activities of daily life (IADL), as well as self-assessments of their health-related quality of life (HRQL).
