21. Atom Probe Tomography of Hard Nitride and Boride Thin Films
Abstract : Hard ceramic thin films, including TiSiN, ZrAlN, ZrB2, and ZrTaB2, with applications for wear-resistant coatings, have been studied using atom probe tomography and correlated with several other analytical techniques, including X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and elastic recoil detection analysis. Outstanding obstacles for quantitative atom probe tomography of ceramic thin films have been surmounted. READ MORE

22. Somatosensory Circuits in the Central Nervous System
Abstract : Spinal glycinergic neurons prevent spontaneous sensations of pain and itch, and development of persistent pain and itch conditions. The glycine receptor alpha 3 subunit (GLRA3) is suggested to be involved in certain inflammatory models, but not in acute nociception. READ MORE

23. CFD-modelling of the SNCR process in iron ore grate-kiln plants
Abstract : LKAB (Luossavaara-Kiirunavaara AB) is an international company that producesiron ore products for the steel industry; their main product is iron ore pellets. The aim with this research project is to numerically investigate if it is possible to use selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) technologies in grate-kiln pelletizingplants for NOx reduction. 24. Data-Driven Approaches for Traffic State and Emission Estimation
Abstract : Traffic congestion is one of the most severe problems in modern urban areas. Besides the amplified travel times, traffic congestion intensifies the amount of emitted pollutants impacting human health and the environment. READ MORE

25. Complexes of cell-penetrating peptides with oligonucleotides : Structure, binding and translocation in lipid membranes
Abstract : The fundamental element of life known to man is the gene. The information contained in genes regulates all cellular functions, in health and disease. The ability to selectively alter genes or their transcript intermediates with designed molecular tools, as synthetic oligonucleotides, represents a paradigm shift in human medicine. READ MORE
