2. Immunoglobulin A nephropathy and disease complications : register-based studies
Abstract : Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is the commonest primary glomerular disease worldwide. A kidney biopsy is required for the diagnosis. IgA immune-complex depositions sets off a cascade leading to renal scarring, proteinuria and hypertension. READ MORE

3. Thermally stable electrical contacts to 6H silicon carbide
Abstract : Silicon Carbide (SiC) are at present being developed for use in high temperature (≥ 500◦C) and high-power environments under which conventional semiconductors can hardly perform. Thermally stable electrical contacts are essential to the ability of SiC to function under such extreme conditions. READ MORE

4. Amidst the green Metal-catalyzed amide formation from carboxylic acids
Abstract : This thesis describes novel methods for transition metal-catalyzed transformation of non-activated carboxylic acids to amides. It was found that 2-10 mol% of zirconium(IV) chloride or 10-20 mol% titanium(IV) isopropoxide catalyzed the formation of a range of secondary and tertiary amides in good to excellent yields (61-99%) in THF at 70-100°C, with molecular sieves present as water scavengers. 5. Studies of some Operators of Harmonic Analysis in certain Function Spaces with Applications to PDEs
Abstract : The study in this PhD thesis aims at development of certain mathematical methods used in applications, in particular, in the study of regularity properties of solutions in various mathematical models described by Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). To this end, we study various operators of harmonic analysis in certain function spaces, since solutions to many PDEs may be expressed in terms of such operators. READ MORE
