  1. 1. Novel computational methods for image analysis and quantification using position sensitive radiation detectors

    Author : Alejandro Sanchez Crespo; Stig A. Larsson; Magnus Dahlbom; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; SPET; PET; CMOS; spatial resolution; photon depth of interaction; positron annihilation; positron range; non-collinearity; scatter; attenuation; lung ventilation; lung perfusion; breast tumour; Medicine; Medicin;

    Abstract : The major advantage of position sensitive radiation detector systems lies in their ability to non invasively map the regional distribution of the emitted radiation in real-time. Three of such detector systems were studied in this thesis, gamma-cameras, positron cameras and CMOS image sensors. READ MORE

  2. 2. Efficient Implementation and Analysis of CMOS Arithmetic Circuits

    Author : Henrik Eriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : With the latter part of the last century in mind, it is not hard to imagine that in the foreseeable future there will be a never-ending demand for increased data processing capability. In addition, there will be a larger public wish for a versatile mobile device such as a combined computer, phone, and camera with many hours of operation. READ MORE

  3. 3. Geometric Computer Vision for Rolling-shutter and Push-broom Sensors

    Author : Erik Ringaby; Per-Erik Forssén; Anders Heyden; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; rolling shutter cmos video rectification stabilisation push-broom kinect;

    Abstract : Almost all cell-phones and camcorders sold today are equipped with a CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor and there is also a general trend to incorporate CMOS sensors in other types of cameras. The sensor has many advantages over the more conventional CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) sensor such as lower power consumption, cheaper manufacturing and the potential for on-chip processing.
