  1. 1. Microwave CMOS Beamforming Transmitters

    University dissertation from Tryckeriet i E-huset, Lunds universitet

    Author : Johan Wernehag; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Beamforming transmitter; CMOS; frequency doubling power amplifier; polyphase filter; phase shifting;

    Abstract : The increase of the consumer electronics market the last couple of decades has been one of the main drivers of IC process technology development. The majority of the ICs are used in digital applications, and for these CMOS is the choice of technology. The urge to squeeze more transistors on to a given area has led to shrinking feature sizes. Abstract : Silicon nanowires (SiNW) are in the spotlight for a few years in the research community as a good candidate for biosensing applications. This is attributed to their small dimensions in nanometer scale that offers high sensitivity, label-free detection and at the same time utilizing small amount of sample. READ MORE

  3. 3. Micro- and Millimeter Wave CMOS Beamforming Receivers

    University dissertation from Stockholm, Sweden : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Andreas Axholt; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2011]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; beamforming; CMOS; front-end; microwave; millimeter wave; phase-locked loop; phased-array;

    Abstract : Popular Abstract in Swedish Det tillgängliga frekvensutrymmet i trådlösa kommunikationssystem, så som trådlösa datornätverk, är mycket begränsat. Detta tillsammans med den ökande trafikmängden skapar problem. Nya möjligheter finns dock i och med att det finns stora mängder bandbredd som är licensfri för användning. READ MORE

  4. 4. Low Voltage CMOS Radio Receiver Front-End Design

    University dissertation from Department of Electroscience, Lund University

    Author : Fred Tillman; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2005]

  5. 5. Integrated Variable-Gain and CMOS Millimeter-Wave Amplifiers

    University dissertation from Department of Electroscience, Lund University

    Author : Mohammad Anowar Masud; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; LNA; MMIC; FinFET; CMOS; HEMT; GaAs; WLP; VGA; BCB;

    Abstract : Variable Gain Amplifier finds extensive use in the high frequency demonstrators specially those operating in the millimeter-wave regions and beyond where the incoming RF signal level can have wide variations. To maintain a constant signal level an IF VGA has been designed that can offer a dynamic variation of gain as much as 45 dB together with a high maximum gain and a low noise figure. READ MORE
