  1. 16. New approaches to concentration, desalting and separation of biopolymers in capillary electrophoresis

    Author : Rong Zhang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Biochemistry; Biokemi; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : In the first part of the thesis five new on-tube methods for concentration and desalting ofampholytes, such as peptides and proteins, are described in Papers I and II. The methods arebased on the fact that electrophoretic migration velocities decrease upon a decrease in theabsolute value of the zeta potential of a solute and the pore size of the electrophoresis mediumand upon an increase in the cross section of the electrophoresis chamber, the viscosity and theelectrical conductivity of the electrophoresis medium. 2. 17. Capillary electrophoresis methods for the separation of the basic compound lidocaine and its metabolites

    Author : Magnus S. Andersson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : For the separation of the basic compound lidocaine and its metabolites a variety of capillary electrophoresis (CE) methods have been developed. This includes capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) and nonaqueous CE separations. The parameters affecting the separations were investigated and optimized. READ MORE

  3. 18. Capillary electroseparations in pharmaceutical analysis of basic drugs and related substances

    Author : Anna Maria Enlund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Abstract : Capillary electroseparation methods are exciting new techniques with very broad application areas and vast potential in pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis. To improve the limit of detection (LOD) capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) has been combined with isotachophoretic (ITP) preconcentration in a single capillary. READ MORE

  4. 19. Cellobiohydrolase I as a chiral sector

    Author : Mikael Hedeland; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Abstract : The protein cellobiohydrolase I (CBH I) immobilized on silica particles has been used as a chiral selector in liquid chromatography (LC) and the free enzyme has served as a chiral complexing agent in the background electrolyte in capillary electrophoresis (CE) using the partial tilling technique.The CE systems were much more efficient and more solutes could be enantioseparated than in the LC systems. 5. 20. Osteoarthritis in temporomandibular joint internal derangement

    Author : Diana Paegle; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Temporomandibular joint; internal derangement; osteoarthritis;

    Abstract : Internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint is the most common diagnosis leading to joint surgery. Two variants of internal derangement exist, painful clicking and chronic closed lock. Painful clicking is characterized by no or minor arthritic changes. READ MORE
