16. Influence of strain, feed profile and cultivation technique on the lipid structure and membrane function in Escherichia coli
Abstract : The phospholipid and fatty acids content of the Escherichiacoli membrane were investigated during changes of feed rate, cultivation technique and host strains.During continuous cultivation it was shown that the leakageof periplasmic protein to the medium had an optimum at 0.3 h-1,resulting in transport of 20% of the total recombinant product. 17. Taxation of intermediate goods : a CGE analysis
Abstract : This dissertation is concerned with tax rates for the use of commodities in general, and energy in particular. Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models are used to analyze the normative question of whether the tax rate for intermediate use by firms should be the same as the tax rate for final consumption by households. 18. REACTIVE TRANSPORT MODELLING OF DISSOLVED CO2 IN POROUS MEDIA : Injection into and leakage from geological reservoirs
Abstract : The geological sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the options of controlling the greenhouse gas emissions. However, leakage of CO2 from the storage reservoir is a risk associated with geological sequestration. Over longer times, large-scale groundwater motion may cause leakage of dissolved CO2 (CO2aq). 19. Coarse detritus in oligotrophic lake littoral zones : utilization by intervertebrates and contribution to carbon flow
20. Development and use of an optical pCO2 sensor in marine studies
Abstract : Partial pressure of CO2 (pCO2) is one of the most important parameters, which are measured in the global ocean in conjunction with ocean acidification studies. It is also a parameter of great interest to aquaculture and fish industries since CO2 in large amounts is highly toxic for animals. The requirements for pCO2 measuring systems, e.g. READ MORE
