  1. 1. Dielectric Response and Partial Discharge Diagnostics of Insulation Systems by Utilizing High Voltage Impulses

    Author : Roya Nikjoo; Hans Edin; Andrea Cavallini; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dielectric Response; Transients; Transformer bushing; Oil-impregnated paper; Moisture content; Partial discharge; Surface PD; Cavity PD; Superimposed impulse; Nanoparticles; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : In this thesis, power system transients are considered as an opportunity for development of on-line diagnostics of power components and specifically the insulation systems of power transformers and bushings.A new technique for on-line dielectric response measurement of power transformer bushings is proposed which utilizes natural transients in the power system, such as lightning and switching surges, as stimuli. 2. 2. Modelling of cavity partial discharges at variable applied frequency

    Author : Cecilia Forssén; Roland Eriksson; Hans Edin; Peter H.F. Morshuis; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; partial discharges; measurements; modelling; variable frequency; cavities; disc-shaped; polycarbonate; Electric power engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Abstract : The presence of partial discharges (PD) in high voltage components is generally a sign of defects and degradation in the electrical insulation. To diagnose the condition of high voltage insulation, PD measurements is commonly used. READ MORE

  4. 4. Studies of pathophysiological mechanisms and oral cavity manifestations in chronic inflammatory diseases

    Author : Guillermo Ruacho Barraza; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease with a 9:1 female predominance where many genetic and clinical characteristics overlap with other inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Closely monitoring and treating active disease leads to better prognosis and quality of life for these patients since a cure is to date not available. READ MORE

  5. 5. Partial discharges studied by dielectric response method

    Author : Xiangdong Xu; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : The increasing demand of integrating various renewable energy recourses in power system requires extensive use of power electronic solutions, which allows energy conversion between different frequencies and stabilizes the system. Consequently, other than the traditional 50/60 Hz sinusoidal voltage stresses act on the high voltage insulation systems. READ MORE
