1. Culture Unbound: Americanization and Everyday Life in Sweden
Abstract : This book investigates the significance processes of Americanization have had in shaping and influencing the form and content of everyday life in Sweden. However, rather than simply viewing Americanization as an irresistible homogenizing force, it is argued that to the extent that Swedish everyday life has been Americanized, it has been Americanized in a very Swedish way. 2. Progressive Women, Traditional Men : The Politics of 'Knowledge' and Gendered stories of 'Development' In the Northern Periphery of the EU
Abstract : This dissertation in Cultural Anthropology and Women's Studies is an ethnographic account of the meaning and politics of social scientific "knowledge production", exemplified in gendered stories of regional "development" in the inland northern Swedish province of Jämtland, after Sweden's 1995 entry into the EU and the cultural meanings they assign to men and women. European integration is experienced as an ongoing peripheralization of modernity, registered in visions of regional "development" centered on the heteronormatively defined ideal of jämställdhet (equality between men and women) and on the "resources" of place and history, forged in a cultural imaginary shared by social scientific researchers, state agencies, and grass-roots "practitioners". 3. Molecular Trees for Collecting Sunshine -Monitoring and Controlling Energy Transfer in Dendrimers
Abstract : A continuing use of fossil fuels will accelerate global warning and result in severe consequences for the environment and thereby also us. Development of alternative, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources is therefore crucial. One approach is to create an artificial photosynthetic system that converts sunshine into fuel (e.g. READ MORE

4. QCM-D with focus on variations in oscillation amplitude
Abstract : The QCM-D (quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring) technique is an increasingly popular tool in studies of molecular interactions at interfaces, e.g. binding/unbinding reactions at surfaces, studies of thin film properties, and conformational changes. READ MORE

5. Structure and Thermoelectric Properties of Type-I Clathrates Ba8(AlxGa1−x)16Ge30
Abstract : Thermoelectric materials enable the direct conversion between a thermal gradient and an electrical potential gradient, and can thus be exploited for electricity generation. One of the promising thermoelectric materials is type-I clathrates. READ MORE
