  1. 11. A molecular guide to efficient charge transport : Coordination materials for photovoltaic cells

    Author : Hannes Michaels; Marina Freitag; Aldo Di Carlo; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Coordination chemistry; energy conversion; photovoltaics; charge transport;

    Abstract : Emerging solar energy conversion and energy storage technologies play a vital role in solving the present energy crisis and achieving carbon net zero. Currently, they are limited by the use of inefficient, unstable and expensive charge transport materials. READ MORE

  2. 12. Tailing Charges on New Paths : Ultrafast intramolecular charge transfer in chromophores

    Author : Belinda Pettersson Rimgard; Leif Hammarström; Oliver S. Wenger; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; intramolecular charge transfer; interligand electron transfer; electron transfer; proton transfer; concerted electron-proton transfer; Marcus inverted region; solvent; temperature; femtosecond spectroscopy; proton-coupled energy transfer; Chemistry with specialization in Physical Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : By tailing charges on their paths within a molecule, one can gain fundamental knowledge of their inherent reactivity. The charges, originally residing in their lowest energy configuration, can upon light absorption move across the system, or transfer in between them. READ MORE

  3. 13. Fabrication and Characterization of Composite TiO2/Carbon Nanofilms with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity

    Author : Raja Sellappan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TiO2; carbon; photoluminescence; photodegradation; recombination.; Photocatalysis;

    Abstract : The work presented in this thesis is dedicated to fabrication and characterization of an efficient thin film photocatalyst for environmental cleaning and solar fuel applications. Because of its simplicity and reproducible fabrication, the chosen combination of nanometer thin titania and carbon films serves also as a model system for a wider class of photoactive materials. 4. 14. Hole Transport Materials for Solid-State Mesoscopic Solar Cells

    Author : Lei Yang; Anders Hagfeldt; Erik Johansson; Gerrit Boschloo; Fengling Zhang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mesoscopic solar cells; solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells; organometallic halide perovskite; hole transport materials; mesoporous TiO2; conjugated polymer; sensitizer; transient absorption spectroscopy; photo-induced absorption spectroscopy; in-situ photoelectrochemical polymerization; spiro-OMeTAD; P3HT; TPAA; MeO-TPD; bis-EDOT; DEH; Li ion migration; charge recombination; electron lifetime;

    Abstract : The solid-state mesoscopic solar cells (sMSCs) have been developed as a promising alternative technology to the conventional photovoltaics. However, the device performance suffers from the low hole-mobilities and the incomplete pore filling of the hole transport materials (HTMs) into the mesoporous electrodes. READ MORE

  5. 15. Endonuclease II - a GIY-YIG enzyme of bacteriophage T4

    Author : Pernilla Lagerbäck; Karin Carlson; Elisabeth Raleigh; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; GIY-YIG; EndoII; endonuclease; structure; tetramer; binding; nicking; recombination; Microbiology; Mikrobiologi;

    Abstract : Endonuclease II (EndoII) of bacteriophage T4 is a GIY-YIG enzyme involved in host DNA breakdown during phage infection of E. coli. EndoII combines features of restriction endonucleases with those of homing endonucleases in that it breaks down DNA foreign to itself but recognizes a 16 bp long asymmetric and ambiguous sequence.
