1. State estimation with auto-calibrated sensor setup
Abstract : Localization and mapping is one of the key aspects of driving autonomously in unstructured environments. Often such vehicles are equipped with multiple sensor modalities to create a 360o sensing coverage and add redundancy to handle sensor dropout scenarios. READ MORE

2. Perspectives of Deep Learning for Neonatal Sepsis Detection
Abstract : Newborns, whether born at term or preterm, are highly vulnerable and face life-threatening situations during their initial weeks of life every year. Even with hospitalization in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and careful clinical monitoring, identifying infection-related incidents like sepsis is a challenging task. READ MORE

3. The PET sampling puzzle : intelligent data sampling methods for positron emission tomography
Abstract : Much like a backwards computed Sudoku puzzle, starting from the completed number grid and working ones way down to a partially completed grid without damaging the route back to the full unique solution, this thesis tackles the challenges behind setting up a number puzzle in the context of biomedical imaging. By leveraging sparse signal processing theory, we study the means of practical undersampling of positron emission tomography (PET) measurements, an imaging modality in nuclear medicine that visualises functional processes within the body using radioactive tracers. 4. Decentralized Learning of Randomization-based Neural Networks
Abstract : Machine learning and artificial intelligence have been wildly explored and developed very fast to adapt to the expanding need for almost every aspect of human development. When stepping into the big data era, siloed data localization has become a big challenge for machine learning. READ MORE

5. Cell-Free Massive MIMO: Distributed Signal Processing and Energy Efficiency
Abstract : In this era of rapid wireless technological advancements, wireless connectivity between humans, humans with machines, and machines with machines is gradually becoming an absolute necessity. The initial motivation for wireless connectivity was to enable voice communication between humans over a geo-graphical area. READ MORE
