  1. 1. Fundamentals of NH3-SCR and SOx chemistry over copper zeolite for the control of NOx and greenhouse gas (N2O) emissions

    Author : Joonsoo Han; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; DeNOx; Cu SSZ-13; NH3-SCR; N2O; EATS; SO3; ammonium nitrate; SO2;

    Abstract : The release of N2O over Cu-zeolite was investigated due to the critical contribution it makes to the atmosphere as one of the greenhouse gases (GHGs). An exhaust after-treatment system (EATS) for heavy-duty vehicles that uses Cu/SSZ-13 as the selective catalyst reduction (SCR) catalyst experiences not only a variety of flow, temperature and chemical conditions but is also exposed to various resulting contaminants. 2. 2. Chemistry and Process Design of Integrated Removal of Nitrogen and Sulfur oxides in Pressurized Flue Gas Systems

    Author : Sima Ajdari; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : Carbon capture and storage is vital to reach the climate goals to limit the increase in the global temperature. Among the carbon capture technologies, oxy-fuel and chemical looping combustion produce a stream mainly containing carbon dioxide (CO2) and water but also contaminants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx). Abstract : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are attracting increasing interest as devices with potentialuses in decentralized and clean electricity and heat production. Several challengeswith respect to materials have to be overcome to achieve efficiencies and life-spansthat are sufficient for long-term applications. READ MORE

  4. 4. Behavior of iron-based oxygen carriers at deep reduction states

    Author : Victor Purnomo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; iron oxides; deep reduction; fuel conversion; chemical looping; physical performance; reactivity; oxygen carrier;

    Abstract : Oxygen carriers have an important role as bed materials in both common circulating fluidized bed combustion unit (also known as oxygen-carrier-aided combustion, OCAC) and in various chemical looping processes. Contrary to conventional bed materials, e.g., sand, oxygen carriers are capable of transferring both oxygen and heat. READ MORE

  5. 5. Packed-Fluidized Bed Reactors – Batch Experiments and Fundamental Modeling with Random Metal Packings

    Author : Nasrin Nemati; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : The aim of this work is to investigate the effect of random packings on heat and mass transfer phenomena, when applied in bubbling fluidized beds. For this purpose, first, the heat transfer coefficient to a horizontal tube submerged in a fluidized bed containing various types of random packings was investigated. READ MORE
