1. Properties of baryons in the chiral quark model
Abstract : In this thesis, several properties of baryons are studied using the chiral quark model. The chiral quark model is a theory which can be used to describe low energy phenomena of baryons. In Paper 1, the chiral quark model is studied using wave functions with configuration mixing. READ MORE

2. Dynamics of quarks and leptons : theoretical Studies of Baryons and Neutrinos
Abstract : The Standard Model of Elementary Particle Physics (SM) is the present theoryfor the elementary particles and their interactions and is a well-established theorywithin the physics community. The SM is a combination of Quantum Chromodynamics(QCD) and the Glashow{Weinberg{Salam (GWS) electroweak model. READ MORE

3. Meson Decay with Isospin Breaking At Two Loops
Abstract : In all calculations done in this thesis, the evaluation of higher order quantum corrections has been central. In the first paper included in this thesis we have investigated the effects of finite volume meson propagators for quark-antiquark vacuum expectation value at two-loop level. READ MORE

4. Family symmetries and radiative corrections in multi-scalar extensions of the Standard Model
Abstract : The four articles contained in this thesis all concern aspects of model building beyond the Standard Model (BSM). While Paper I mainly serves as a ``tool paper'' in which the results can be used to simplify certain calculations of one-loop effects from new heavy particles, Paper II--IV all deal with consequences of family symmetries in several BSM scenarios. 5. Some Aspects of Chirality: fermion masses and chiral p-forms
Abstract : This thesis deals with different types of chiral fields. The properties of fermion masses are investigated from different poits of view, both within the Standard Model and in extensions of the model. It is shown how mass matrix invariants are used to define the measurables of the quark mixing matrix as invariant functions of the mass matrices. READ MORE
