  1. 1. Expression and novel function of CD43 in colon cancer cells

    Author : Christian X Andersson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : CD43; leukosialin; sialophorin; mucin; nuclear localization; nuclear signaling; Wnt-signaling; beta-catenin; regulated intramembrane cleavage; RIP; proteolytic cleavage;

    Abstract : CD43 is a transmembrane protein containing an extracellular domain that is extensively O-glycosylated, and a relatively large intracellular domain with a conserved sequence between human, rat and mouse. It is frequently expressed in haematopoietic cell lines where it functions as a regulator of cell adhesiveness, a signal transducer and a cytoskeleton-interacting protein. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Software Framework for Implementation and Evaluation of Co-Simulation Algorithms

    Author : Christian Andersson; Matematik LTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Simulation; Co-Simulation; Assimulo; JModelica.org;

    Abstract : In this thesis, simulation of coupled dynamic models, denoted sub-systems, is analyzed and described in a co-simulation context. This means that the respective coupled systems contain their own internal integrator, hidden from the coupling interface. Co-Simulation is an interesting and active research field where industry is a driving force. READ MORE

  3. 3. Power System Security Assessment - Application of Learning Algorithms

    Author : Christian Andersson; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The last years blackouts have indicated that the operation and control of power systems may need to be improved. Even if a lot of data was available, the operators at different control centers did not take the proper actions in time to prevent the blackouts. READ MORE

  4. 4. Design, Synthesis, Mechanistic Rationalization and Application of Asymmetric Transition-Metal Catalysts

    Author : Christian Hedberg; Pher G. Andersson; Hans-Ulrich Blaser; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; asymmetric catalysis; homogeneous hydrogenation; iridium; ruthenium; ligand design; mechanistic studies; kinetics; tolterodine; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis describes mechanistic studies, rational ligand design, and synthesis of asymmetric transition metal catalysts. The topics addressed concerned [Papers I-VII]:[I] The asymmetric addition of diethyl zinc to N-(diphenylphosphinoyl)benzalimine catalyzed by bicyclic 2-azanorbornyl-3-methanols was studied. READ MORE
