  1. 1. A search for solar dark matter with the IceCube neutrino detector : Advances in data treatment and analysis technique

    Author : Marcel Christian Robert Zoll; Christian Walck; Juan Jose Henrandez Rey; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; neutrino; WIMP; dark matter; cluster analysis; sun; IceCube; IC86; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : There is compelling observational evidence for the existence of dark matter in the Universe, including our own Galaxy, which could possibly consist of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) not contained in the standard model (SM) of particle physics. WIMPs may get gravitationally trapped inside heavy celestial bodies of ordinary matter. READ MORE

  2. 2. Preparations for the next solar WIMP Analysis with IceCube : Advances in simulation, filtering, event topology identification and analysis approach

    Author : Marcel Christian Robert Zoll; Christian Walck; Samuel Silverstein; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; IceCube solar WIMP EventSplitter Filter Clustering Recombination Analysis Likelihood; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : In the year 2011 the construction of IceCube, a neutrino observatory buried in deep clear Antarctic ice, was completed. IceCube now consists of an array of 5160 digital light detection modules assembled on 86 strings, which encloses a instrumented volume of roughly 1~km$^3$ optimized for detection of neutrinos down to energies of 100~GeV. 3. 3. Synthesis and investigation of bacterial effector molecules

    Author : Michael Franz Albers; Christian Hedberg; Christian Hackenberger; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; bacterial effectors; organic synthesis; Legionella; PTM; peptide synthesis; nucleotide chemistry; Biorganic Chemistry; bioorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : During infections, bacterial microorganisms initiate profound interactions with mammalian host cells. Usually defense mechanisms of the host destroy intruding bacteria in rapid manner. However, many bacterial pathogens have evolved in a way to avoid these mechanisms. READ MORE

  4. 4. A Search for Dark Matter Lines with H.E.S.S. II

    Author : Knut Dundas Morå; Jan Conrad; Christian Farnier; Christian Walck; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dark Matter; Cherenkov Telescopes; Indirect Detection; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Most of the matter in the universe, ~80% is thought to be dark matter- particles that have small or no interactions with standard model particles. Dark matter is an integral part of the current understanding of cosmology, and leaves signs in the movements of stars and galaxies, as well as the Cosmic Microwave Background. READ MORE

  5. 5. Religion in Dialogue with Late Modern Society: A Constructive Contribution to a Christian Spirituality Informed by Buddhist-Christian Encounters

    Author : Ann Aldén; Centrum för teologi och religionsvetenskap; []
