21. An X-Ray View of Core-collapse Supernovae
Abstract : A core-collapse supernova (CCSN) is an astronomical explosion that indicates the death of a massive star. From observations, it is clear that a large fraction of all massive stars undergoes supernova (SN) explosions, but describing how SNe explode has remained a challenge for many decades. READ MORE

22. Everyday Life Information Practice : Affordances and Strategies within a Facebook Group
Abstract : Social networking sites are integral in reshaping how we access and interact with information and others. This doctoral thesis aims to offer an in-depth understanding of engagement in an everyday life information practice within a private Facebook group. READ MORE

23. Modelling Alternative Load Paths in Platform-Framed CLT Buildings : A Finite Element Approach
Abstract : Timber has become more popular as a construction material during recent years. Engineered wood products, such as glued laminated timber and cross-laminated timber, have enabled the construction of multi-storey buildings. Tall buildings with many occupants need to resist a disproportional collapse in case of unexpected exposures, e.g. READ MORE

24. Significance of transport dynamics on concentration statistics and expected mass fraction based risk assessment in the subsurface
Abstract : This thesis relies on a Langrangian framework used for conservative tracer transport simulations through 2-D heterogeneous porous media. Conducted numerical simulations enable large sets of concentration values in both spatial and temporal domains. READ MORE

25. Internal fixation of femoral neck fractures
Abstract : The incidence of femoral neck fractures in elderly people is rising requiring large health care resources. Internal fixation of the fracture is the treatment of choice in Scandinavia, but in 20-40% of the cases a late complication such as a segmental collapse of the femoral head after initial bone necrosis, or a non-union of the fracture because of non-healing, will occur.
