  1. 1. Modeling and Estimation of Phase Noise in Oscillators with Colored Noise Sources

    Author : M Reza Khanzadi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Phase Noise Model; Bayesian Cramer-Rao Bound; Voltage-controlled Oscillator; Extended Kalman Filter Smoother; Maximum a Posteriori Estimator; Colored Phase Noise; Oscillator Phase Noise; Phase-Locked Loop; Mean Square Error.;

    Abstract : The continuous increase in demand for higher data rates due to applications with massive number of users motivates the design of faster and more spectrum efficient communication systems. In theory, the current communication systems must be able to operate close to Shannon capacity bounds. READ MORE

  2. 2. On Reduced Rank Linear Regression and Direction Estimation in Unknown Colored Noise Fields

    Author : Karl Werner; Magnus Jansson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Signal processing; Signalbehandling;

    Abstract : Two estimation problems are treated in this thesis. Estimators are suggested and the asymptotical properties of the estimates are investigated analytically. Numerical simulations are used to assess small-sample performance. In addition, performance bounds are calculated. READ MORE

  4. 4. Development of bixin formulations. Extraction, microencapsulation, dispersibility and photostability

    Author : Cecilia Curi; Avdelningen för livsmedel och läkemedel; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; bixin; annatto; natural colorants; light stability in solid multiphase systems; shelf life extension; auqeous physical stability; encapsualtion efficiancy; spray drying; natural colored candies;

    Abstract : The aril that covers the seeds of the plant species Bixa orellana is composed of the natural colorants bixin and norbixin, phenolic components and native carbohydrates composed of hemicellulose, starch, and a small fraction of proteins. Bixin is a hydrophobic carotenoid that is water insoluble and is mostly used for coloring oil-based formulations. READ MORE

  5. 5. A Verification Framework for Component Based Modeling and Simulation : “Putting the pieces together”
