2. Magnetron Sputtering of Nanocomposite Carbide Coatings for Electrical Contacts
Abstract : Today’s electronic society relies on the functionality of electrical contacts. To achieve good contact properties, surface coatings are normally applied. Such coatings should ideally fulfill a combination of different properties, like high electrical conductivity, high corrosion resistance, high wear resistance and low cost. READ MORE

3. Functional Metal Oxide Materials Deposited by Inkjet Printing Technique
Abstract : This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetism in 85 to 100nm thin films produced by in situ deposition of industrially important pristine MgO and ZnO by inkjet printing. It is suggested that the observed long range magnetic order, the so-called do magnetism in these oxides arises from cation vacancies. READ MORE

4. Tribology of Metal-Graphite Composites : A Study of Sliding Electrical Contact Surfaces
Abstract : An environmentally sustainable production of electrical power is important for preserving the earth’s natural resources. In order to utilize this power as efficiently as possible, it is of great importance to minimize the losses, for example in sliding electrical contacts. READ MORE
