11. Attenuation correction in pulmonary and myocardial single photon emission computed tomography
Abstract : The objective was to develop and validate methods for single photon emission computed tomography, SPECT, allowing quantitative physiological and diagnostic studies of lung and heart. A method for correction of variable attenuation in SPECT, based on transmission measurements before administration of an isotope to the subject, was developed and evaluated. READ MORE

12. Tomosynthesis in pulmonary cystic fibrosis
Abstract : The aims of this thesis were to investigate whether chest tomosynthesis might be used in pulmonary cystic fibrosis, to design and validate a tomosynthesis scoring system, and to determine the effective dose from chest tomosynthesis in children. In a prospective study starting in 2008 clinical chest radiography or computed tomography (CT) were supplemented with a tomosynthesis examination of the lungs. READ MORE

13. Cost and benefits of cone beam computed tomography : for maxillary canines with eruption disturbance
READ MORE

14. 3D nano-tomography using coherent X-rays
Abstract : X-rays allow to non-destructively investigate biological, chemical or physical processes at the nano-scale. Their high penetration depth in matter allows to investigate samples even inside sample environments, which would be difficult with complementary methods such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM). 15. Bone Regeneration with Cell-free Injectable Scaffolds
Abstract : Bone is a remarkable multifunctional tissue with the ability to regenerate and remodel without generating any scar tissue. However, bone loss due to injury or diseases can be a great challenge and affect the patient significantly. Autologous bone grafting is commonly used throughout the world. READ MORE
