  1. 6. Reality-based brain-computer interaction

    Author : Daniel Sjölie; Lars-Erik Janlert; Johan Eriksson; John Waterworth; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; reality-based brain-computer interaction; virtual reality; reality-based interaction; brain-computer interface; activity theory; the free-energy principle; grounded cognition; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap; Computer science; Datalogi; människa-datorinteraktion; människa-datorinteraktion;

    Abstract : Recent developments within human-computer interaction (HCI) and cognitive neuroscience have come together to motivate and enable a framework for HCI with a solid basis in brain function and human reality. Human cognition is increasingly considered to be critically related to the development of human capabilities in the everyday environment (reality). READ MORE

    Author : Irvin Homem; Panagiotis Papapetrou; Fredrik Blix; Indre Žliobaitė; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Digital Forensics; Machine Learning; Computer Forensics; Network Forensics; Predictive Modelling; Distributed Systems; Mobile Devices; Mobile Forensics; Memory Forensics; Android; Semantic Web; Hypervisors; Virtualization; Remote Acquisition; Evidence Analysis; Correlation; P2P; Bittorrent; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Digital Forensics is used to aid traditional preventive security mechanisms when they fail to curtail sophisticated and stealthy cybercrime events. The Digital Forensic Investigation process is largely manual in nature, or at best quasi-automated, requiring a highly skilled labour force and involving a sizeable time investment. READ MORE

  3. 8. Explainable and Resource-Efficient Stream Processing Through Provenance and Scheduling

    Author : Dimitrios Palyvos-Giannas; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Data Streaming; Scheduling; Provenance; Stream Processing;

    Abstract : In our era of big data, information is captured at unprecedented volumes and velocities, with technologies such as Cyber-Physical Systems making quick decisions based on the processing of streaming, unbounded datasets. In such scenarios, it can be beneficial to process the data in an online manner, using the stream processing paradigm implemented by Stream Processing Engines (SPEs). READ MORE

  4. 9. MaltParser -- An Architecture for Inductive Labeled Dependency Parsing

    Author : Johan Hall; Joakim Nivre; Welf Löwe; Martin Volk; Växjö universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dependency Parsing; Support Vector Machines; Machine Learning; Language technology; Språkteknologi; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science; Data- och informationsvetenskap;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis presents a software architecture for inductive labeled dependency parsing of unrestricted natural language text, which achieves a strict modularization of parsing algorithm, feature model and learning method such that these parameters can be varied independently. The architecture is based on the theoretical framework of inductive dependency parsing by Nivre \citeyear{nivre06c} and has been realized in MaltParser, a system that supports several parsing algorithms and learning methods, for which complex feature models can be defined in a special description language. 5. 10. A Study of Combinatorial Optimization Problems in Industrial Computer Systems

    Author : Markus Bohlin; Björn Lisper; Per Kreuger; Mikael Sjödin; Petru Eles; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer science; Datalogi; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : A combinatorial optimization problem is an optimization problem where the number of possible solutions are finite and grow combinatorially with the problem size. Combinatorial problems exist everywhere in industrial systems. READ MORE
