  1. 16. Towards Intelligent Distribution Systems: Solutions for Congestion Forecast and Dynamic State Estimation Based Protection

    Author : Ankur Srivastava; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; future-readiness; renewables.; future distribution systems; distribution systems protection; distribution system operator; photovoltaics; probabilistic power flow; Congestion forecast; dynamic state estimation;

    Abstract : The electrical distribution systems are undergoing drastic changes such as increasing penetration level of distributed renewable energy sources, energy storage, electrification of energy-efficient loads such as heat pumps and electric vehicles, etc., since the last decade, and more changes are expected in the future. 2. 17. Distributional Side Effects of Tax Policies: An Analysis of Tax Avoidance and Congestion Tolls

    Author : Hanna Armelius; Lars Hultkrantz; Jonas Agell; Michael Lundholm; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Economics; Congestion tolls; Tax avoidance; Income distribution; Distributional effects; Nationalekonomi; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of three self-contained essays.Essay 1This essay examines the effects of tax avoidance on saving and income distribution. In an intertemporal model taxes can be avoided through asset trade. We find that including an avoidance response to taxation will increase all the negative distortions of increased tax progressivity. 3. 18. Modelling and Lagrangian control of mixed traffic: platoon coordination, congestion dissipation and state reconstruction

    Author : Mladen Čičić; Karl Henrik Johansson; Miroslav Krstić; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; traffic control; Lagrangian control; mixed traffic models; Intelligent Transportation Systems; Connected and Automated Vehicles; traffic congestion; platoon coordination; moving bottlenecks; bottleneck decongestion; stop-and-go wave dissipation; traffic state reconstruction; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Traffic congestion is a constantly growing problem, with a wide array of negative effects on the society, from wasted time and productivity to elevated air pollution and reduction of safety. The introduction of connected, autonomous vehicles enables a new, Lagrangian paradigm for sensing andcontrolling the traffic, by directly using connected vehicles inside the traffic flow, as opposed to the classical, Eulerian paradigm, which relies on stationary equipment on the road. 4. 19. Congestion control in wireless cellular networks

    Author : Sara Landström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Through the introduction of the third generation of mobile cellular network technologies a major step towards a ubiquitious and wireless access to the Internet has been taken. There are however still challenges due to the different characteristics and prerequisites of wired and wireless networks. An important network element is congestion control. READ MORE

  5. 20. Sensor Data Sharing in V2X Communications : Protocol Design and Performance Optimization of Collective Perception

    Author : Quentin Delooz; Andreas Festag; Alexey Vinel; Maben Rabi; Ana Aguiar; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; V2X; sensor data sharing; vehicular communications; Collective Perception; data congestion; Decentralized Congestion Control;

    Abstract : Sensor data sharing involves exchanging sensor data among multiple devices, systems, or platforms through various means, such as wired or wireless communication, cloud storage, and distributed computing. In Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication, sensor data sharing is known as Collective Perception (CP). READ MORE
