16. Densities and viscosities of slags : modeling and experimental investigations
Abstract : The present dissertation describes part of the efforts directed towards the development of computational tools to support process modeling. This work is also a further development of the Thermoslag software developed in the Division of Materials Process Science, KTH. READ MORE

17. A Study on Particle Motion and Deposition Rate : Application in Steel Flows
Abstract : Non-metallic inclusions in molten steel have received worldwide attention due to their serious influence on both the steel product quality and the steel production process. These inclusions may come from the de-oxidation process, the re-oxidation by air and/or slag due to an entrainment during steel transfer, and so on. READ MORE

18. Inclusion Behaviour under a Swirl Flow in a Continuous Casting Process
Abstract : A swirl flow generated in a submerged entry nozzle (SEN) can effectively improve a flow pattern and heat transfer in a continuous casting process by using the methods of “swirl blade type” and “electromagnetic type”. In order to obtain a further in-depth understanding with respect to the effect of a swirl flow on a continuous casting process, the inclusion behaviour in a SEN and a mold was studied in the present work. 20. On some positive effects of swirling flow for the continuous cast mould billets
Abstract : Continuous caster moulds are the last and most important stage in the steelmaking process, where inclusions can either be generated or removed. With increasing casting speed using conventional immersion nozzles critical problems, such as unstable bulk mould flow have been noticed. READ MORE
