22. Millimeter-wave Communication and Radar Sensing — Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions
Abstract : With the development of communication and radar sensing technology, people are able to seek for a more convenient life and better experiences. The fifth generation (5G) mobile network provides high speed communication and internet services with a data rate up to several gigabit per second (Gbps). READ MORE

23. Middle Ear Pressure; A New Method for Continuous Direct Measurements
Abstract : Disturbances in the pressure homeostasis of the middle ear (ME) system cause a pressure gradient across the tympanic membrane lessen the effectiveness of sound transmission and may be associated to development of chronic ME disease. An equipment for continuous direct pressure measurements was developed and was found to be accurate, base-line stabile and portable. READ MORE

24. From torrefaction to gasification : Pilot scale studies for upgrading of biomass
Abstract : Increasing the share of biomass, preferably by replacing fossil fuels, is one way to mitigate the present climate change. Fossil coal can be directly replaced by co-combustion of coal and biomass and fossil engine fuels (gasoline and diesel) could potentially partly be replaced by synthetic renewable fuels produced via entrained flow gasification of biomass. 25. Buoy and Generator Interaction with Ocean Waves : Studies of a Wave Energy Conversion System
Abstract : On March 13th, 2006, the Division of Electricity at Uppsala University deployed its first wave energy converter, L1, in the ocean southwest of Lysekil. L1 consisted of a buoy at the surface, connected through a line to a linear generator on the seabed. READ MORE
