11. Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry : Exploring the Limits of Different Sample Preparation Strategies
Abstract : This thesis describes two different sample preparation strategies for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), and their ability regarding multi element quantification in complex samples. Sensitivity, repeatability, reproducibility and accuracy were investigated. READ MORE

13. Cold spray Cr-coated Optimized ZIRLO claddings: an option for accident tolerant fuels
Abstract : Accident tolerant fuel development has started with the aim of providing nuclear fuels able to endure severe accident conditions. Research in this field has also sparked a wave of material renewal in the nuclear industry that had being delayed for the last few decades. READ MORE

14. Cr Vaporization and Oxide Scale Growth on Interconnects in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells
Abstract : The vaporization of Cr(VI) species and the greater electrical resistance caused by a growing oxide scale are probably the two most detrimental degradation mechanisms associated with the use of Cr2O3-forming alloys as the interconnect material in a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC). High electrical efficiency, clean emissions and the possibility to utilize several types of fuels, such as hydrogen, alcohols and hydrocarbons are some of the great advantages of SOFC technology. 15. Thermodynamic Investigation of Co-Cr Alloys
Abstract : In a collaborative effort between the Divison of Metallurgyand the Divison of Computational Thermodynamics, RoyalInstitute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, experimentalinvestigations have been carried out in the binary Co-Crsystem. The experimental strategy has been to measure thethermodynamic activities of Cr by the solid oxide electrolytegalvanic cell technique, as well as to measure the molar heatcapacities of the alloys, as function of temperature, by theDSC technique.
