  1. 1. Perfusion Monitoring of Advancement and Rotational Flaps. Oculoplastic Surgery and Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging

    Author : Cu Dybelius Ansson; Lund Oftalmologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; flap; eyelid; oculoplastic; diathermic coagulation; laser speckle contrast imaging; perfusion; flap; eyelid; oculoplastic; diathermic coagulation; laser speckle contrast imaging;

    Abstract : Flaps are widely used in oculoplastic reconstructive surgery to cover defects following the removal of tumors, malformations, or trauma. Adequate blood perfusion of the flap is crucial for its survival. Knowledge about the perfusion in different type of flaps is therefore of great value. READ MORE

  2. 2. From Light to Dark : Electrical Phenomena in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Solar Cells

    Author : Piotr Szaniawski; Marika Edoff; Uwe Zimmermann; Jörgen Olsson; Thomas Walter; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solar cells; Photovoltaics; Cu InGa Se2; CIGS; Electrical characterization; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Abstract : In Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cells the CIGS layer serves as the light absorber, growing naturally p-type. Together with an n-type buffer layer they form a p-n heterojunction. Typically, CdS is used as a buffer, although other, less toxic materials are investigated as alternatives. READ MORE

  3. 3. On Generation and Recombination in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin-Film Solar Cells

    Author : Jonas Malmström; Lars Stolt; Uwe Rau; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronics; solar energy conversion; solar cells; Cu In; Ga Se2; device modelling; optical properties; electron-hole generation; light trapping; electron-hole recombination; Elektronik; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Abstract : The solar cell technology based on Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin-films provides a promising route to cost competitive solar electricity. The standard device structure is ZnO:Al/ZnO/CdS/CIGS/Mo films on a glass substrate, where the first three layers are n-type semiconductors with wide bandgaps, forming a pn-junction with the p-type CIGS absorber layer; the Mo layer serves as a back contact. 4. 4. Modulations in B8-type Intermetallics

    Author : Margareta Elding-Pontén; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Electron diffraction; X-ray diffraction; Superspace group; Edshammar polyhedron; Mn-Sn; Cu-In; B8-type; Ni2In; NiAs; Modulation; Superstructure; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : The B8-type regions of the Mn-Sn and Cu-In systems have been investigated by means of electron and X-ray diffraction. The importance of the combination of these techniques in the study of B8-type phases is pointed out. In addition to the B8-type phases an alloy with a quasicrystal approximant structure has been studied. READ MORE

  5. 5. Metal release from powder particles in synthetic biological media

    Author : Klara Midander; Jinshan Pan; Mats Norell; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; metal release; stainless steel; Cu; powder particles; synthetic body fluids; test method; in vitro tests; Other materials science; Övrig teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : Humans are exposed to metals and metal-containing materials daily, either conscious, e.g. using metal tools or objects, or unconscious, e.g. READ MORE
