  1. 1. Information Systems Development for Emerging Public Sector Cross-sector Collaborations : The Case of Swedish Emergency Response

    Author : Kayvan Yousefi Mojir; Sofie Pilemalm; Stefan Holgersson; Johanna Sefyrin; Erik Borglund; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Information systems (IS) seem prevalent in modern societies and have resulted in the rapid digitalisation of different societal sectors. One application domain of IS is emergency response, which is responsible for delivering essential services to save lives and minimise environmental damage in both small , frequent and large-scale emergencies. 2. 2. Aspects of T cell development contributing to autoimmunity

    Author : Maria Carlsén; Diabetes - immunovirologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; FTOC; T cell development; Type 1 diabetes; p53; Insulin; NOD; Negative selection; TGF-β; Tolerance; Thymus; Conditional cre lox knock out; Autoimmunity;

    Abstract : Autoimmunity, such as type 1 diabetes (T1D), arises as a result of tolerance breakdown against host tissues, i.e. the β-cells. Central tolerance is established during thymic T cell development and defects in key events during this process could contribute to the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. READ MORE

  3. 3. Model Systems for Metal - DNA Interactions. With a Focus on Anticancer Active Platinum(II) Complexes

    Author : Anna Ericson; Kemiska institutionen; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; kinetics; DNA; poly d T ; guanine; 6-thioinosine-5 -monophosphate; 6-thio-2 -deoxyinosine; 4-thiouridine-5 -monophosphate; 4-thio-2 -deoxyuridine; palladium II ; Gold III ; platinum II ; mechanism; salt effect; activation parameters; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Reactions of trans-dicyanodichloroaurate(III) trans-dibromodicyanoaurate(III), trans-diamminedichlorogold(III), cis-diammine(aqua)chloroplatinum(II), cis-ammineaqua-(cyclohexylamine)chloroplatinum(II), chloro(terpyridine)platinum(II) and chloro-(diethylenetriaminepalldium(II) with dimethyl sulfide, thionucleosides, thionucleotides and thione- and guanine-containing 17-mer oligonucleotides have been investigated by use of conventional and high-pressure stopped-flow spectrophotometry and HPLC technique as a function of ionic strength, pH, temperature and pressure in aqueous solutions. The mechanism and rate of oxidation of dimethyl sulfide by gold(III) complexes depends on the concentration of free halide. READ MORE

  4. 4. Clinical probability assessment and biochemical markers in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis

    Author : Johan Elf; Malmö Klinisk koagulationsmedicin; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Venous thrombosis; APC-PCI complex.; D-Dimer; Clinical probability; Diagnosis;

    Abstract : The combination of pre-test clinical probability assessment and D-dimer test is now widely applied in the diagnostic process of DVT. The general objective of the present investigation was to validate these results in a Swedish routine emergency setting were the prevalence of the disease is high and were the clinical probability assessment was handled by many junior physicians.
