  1. 1. Vertical III-V/High-k Nanowire MOS Capacitors and Transistors

    University dissertation from Department of Electrical and Information Technology, Lund University

    Author : Jun Wu; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2016]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanowire; MOSFET; MOS capacitor; C-V; XPS; MOVPE; InGaAs; InAs; High-k; RF; Track-and-hold circuit;

    Abstract : Popular Abstract in English Since 1947 when the first transistor was invented, electronics was transited into an unprecedented era. Different from a resistor that only has two terminals with the applied voltage and flowing current always obeying Ohm's law, a transistor has the third terminal in between, called "gate", which is made by, for metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs), an oxide layer sandwiched between the metal electrode and the semiconductor channel. 2. 2. Studies of Vibrio cholerae toxins (zonula occludens toxin and hemagglutinin/protease) and their effects on epithelial cells

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Zhengyang Wu; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [1997]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Intestinal epithelium is important for absorption of nutrients and for defense against harmful substances in the gut. The permeability and barrier functions of epithelia are mainly controlled by intercellular tight junctions. READ MORE

  4. 4. Specific anti-tumour effects of 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON) on carcinoid tumour cells

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Feng Wu; Uppsala universitet.; [2000]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medical sciences; carcinoid tumour; diazo-oxo-L-norleucine; mitochondria; apoptosis; PET; MEDICIN OCH VÅRD; MEDICINE; MEDICIN; Medicine; medicin;

    Abstract : Glutamine is essential for cell growth. 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON) is a rather old anti-tumour drug developed as a glutamine antagonist. Previous clinical trials with DON, not including carcinoid tumours, did not prove convincing. Hence the drug was not further used. READ MORE

  5. 5. NMR structral studies on ruthenium complexes binding to DNA

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Lisha Wu; [2011]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NMR; DNA binding; Ru-complex dimer; CD; fluorescence; molecular dynamics simulation;

    Abstract : The Ru-complex Λ,Λ-[bidppz(bipy)4Ru2]4+ (Λ,Λ-B) exhibits multiple modes of interactions with the palindromic DNA dodecamer [d(CGCGAATTCGCG)]2, however excluding any type of intercalation as shown by both optical spectroscopy and NMR. NMR observation of Λ,Λ-B titration into a DNA solution results in both a transient binding, with observation of fast exchange for protons located near the ends of the DNA duplex, and a more stable interaction in the DNA minor groove indicated by a slow exchange mechanism and binding sites for G2, G4 and A5 of the same DNA strand.
