21. Experimental Study of some Potassium and Sodium Bearing Aluminosilicates at High Temperatures and High Pressures
Abstract : This dissertation presents the results of a high-temperature and high-pressure experimental study of some abundant aluminositicates, which are the main repositories for the two geochemically important elements, sodium and potassium, in the Earth's crust. Phase transitions of end member alkali feldspars and jadeite clinopyroxene are studied at high and ultrahigh pressures corresponding to the conditions between the transition zone and the deep Earth's lower mantle. 22. Continuous-Time Delta-Sigma Modulators for Wireless Communication
Abstract : The ever increasing data rates in wireless communication require analog to digital converters (ADCs) with greater requirements on speed and accuracy, while being power efficient to prolong battery life. This dissertation contains an introduction to the field and five papers that focus on the continuous-time (CT) Delta-Sigma modulator (DSM) as ADC. READ MORE

23. Studies on CMOS Digital-to-Analog Converters
Abstract : In this thesis we present an overview and study on digital-to-analog converters (DAC), mainly for communications applications. Especially, we look at some digital subscriber line (DSL) specifications and communication over twisted-pair channels. READ MORE

24. Continuous-Time Delta-Sigma Modulators for Ultra-Low-Power Radios
Abstract : The modern small devices of today require cheap low power radio frequency (RF) transceivers that can provide reliable connectivity at all times. In an RF transceiver, the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is one of the most important parts and it is also one of the main power consumers. READ MORE

25. High-Speed Analog-to-Digital Converters in CMOS
Abstract : The Analog to Digital (A/D) Converters (ADC) are vital components in high-performance radio devices. In the receiver end, the signal received by the analog front-end can not be directly analyzed by the digital core, thus requiring high-performance ADC circuits acting as bridges connecting the analog and digital domain.
