1. Dynamic principles in craniofacial surgery. Expander elements in craniofacial surgery
Abstract : Lannelongue & Lane described strip removal of ossified skull sutures in craniosynostosis in the 1890s. More complex osteotomies with bone grafting were developed during the 1960s. Dynamic techniques, utilizing force to direct the growing brain for skull reshaping was introduced by Jane 1978 with the p-plasty for sagittal synostosis. READ MORE

2. Discovery and Characterization of a Novel Microtubule Associated Protein Involved in Cellulose Biosynthesis
Abstract : Cell walls are a distinct feature of plants and their chemical constituents, cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin, are economically valuable. Plant fibres rich in cellulose, which mainly resides in their cell wall, are traditionally used in making paper and textiles. READ MORE

3. Comprehensive numerical analysis of stress state in adhesive layer of joint including thermal residual stress and material non-linearity
Abstract : The main objective of this work is to improve understanding of the stress state in the adhesive layer of bonded joints and identify key parameters which govern performance of adhesive joints. This information is crucial for the prediction of the failure initiation and propagation with the further estimation of the durability and strength of adhesively bonded structures. READ MORE

4. Notch sensitivity and bridging laws in glass mat composites
Abstract : The fracture behaviour of polymeric random glass mat reinforced composites was investigated. Such materials exhibit very large damage zones with fibre bridging. The damage zone sizes are often comparable with the specimen dimensions, which precludes the use of linear elastic frac-ture mechanics (LEFM). READ MORE

5. High Performance Bio-based Composites : Mechanical and Environmental Durability
Abstract : The presented work is a part of the ongoing effort on the development of high performance bio-based composites with enhanced durability, under static and dynamic mechanical loading including the exposure to elevated humidity. The impact of relative humidity on the performance of cellulosic fibers (natural and regenerated), bio-based resins and their composites was studied. READ MORE
