  1. 6. Understanding and Supporting Product-Service System Designing : Preliminary Insights and Support for Designing Resource-Efficient and Effective Solutions

    Author : Abhijna Neramballi; Tomohiko Sakao; Mattias Lindahl; Philip Cash; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis aims to establish the basis for scientifically understanding and supporting the cognitive processes involved in the conceptual design of resource- efficient and effective product-service systems (PSSs). The research carried out is transdisciplinary in nature and includes both prescriptive and descriptive studies. READ MORE

  2. 7. Machine Learning methods in shotgun proteomics

    Author : Patrick Truong; Lukas Käll; Peter Nilsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mass spectrometry protein summarization Bayesian hierarchical modelling label-free quantification data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry; benchmark mathematical methods; transformers; computational proteomics; proteomics; bioinformatics; bert; ms2 intensity; probabilistic modelling; Biotechnology; Bioteknologi;

    Abstract : As high-throughput biology experiments generate increasing amounts of data, the field is naturally turning to data-driven methods for the analysis and extraction of novel insights. These insights into biological systems are crucial for understanding disease progression, drug targets, treatment development, and diagnostics methods, ultimately leading to improving human health and well-being, as well as, deeper insight into cellular biology. Abstract : Digitalisation allows companies to develop many new ways of interacting with customers and other stakeholders. These digital interactions typically generate data that can be stored and later processed for different objectives. READ MORE

  5. 10. Exercising the brain in pain : using fMRI to investigate intrinsic connectivity, cognition and pain regulation in fibromyalgia and how this is affected by physical exercise

    Author : Sofia Martinsen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The aims of the studies of this thesis were to use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to investigate cerebral activation patterns in fibromyalgia (FM) patients and healthy controls (HC) at rest, when performing the stroop colour word test (SCWT) and during pressure pain provocation. Distraction induced analgesia (DIA), performance on the SCWT and pressure pain sensitivity was investigated on the behavioural and psychophysical level. READ MORE
