1. Depressive Personality Disorder : Construct, measurement, clinical correlates, and treatment outcome
Abstract : Depression is a serious and potentially devastating health problem, impacting millions of individuals worldwide. Although advances have been made in depression research, there remain a number of outstanding questions as to why certain individuals experience depression and why some respond to treatment and others do not. 2. Characterization and Compensation of Hardware Impairments in Transmitters for Wireless Communications
Abstract : Increasing demands for data rate, energy efficiency and reliability in wireless communications have resulted in the introduction of radio frequency (RF) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmitters. However, MIMO transmitters suffer from additional crosstalk impairments along with the power amplifier (PA) and I/Q imbalance distortions observed in single input single output (SISO) transmitters. 3. Digital Baseband Modeling and Correction of Radio Frequency Power Amplifiers
Abstract : Aspects related to behavioral modeling and correction of distortions for radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers (PAs) are treated in the thesis. When evaluating the performance of a behavioral model it is important to, first of all, use an evaluation criterion, and second, make sure that the criterion actually tells something about the behavior one wishes to describe. 4. Estimating Effective Interactions from Particle Trajectories
Abstract : The theoretical and practical understanding of molecular systems is strongly dependent on computer simulations. All-atom molecular dynamics techniques are capable of sim- ulating systems on the scale of millions of particles up to about 100 ns. READ MORE

5. Deriving coarse grained descriptions of particle based simulations
Abstract : In the field of molecular simulations, the long standing aim has been to study mechanisms that cannot easily be observed in experiments or understood in terms of more abstract models. Fully detailed molecular dynamics simulations can be extremely successful in many areas, but when applied to mesoscopic systems with a large number of molecules, the time and length scales on which important phenomena take place are often far beyond what is feasible to simulate with modern computers.
