1. Drift and Mirror Modes in Magnetized Plasmas
Abstract : Low frequency plasma instabilities driven by plasma inhomogeneity and velocity anisotropies are major candidates for the explanation of various phenomena observed in fusion and space plasmas. For low-β fusion plasma, the influence of plasma rotation and finite ion temperature on the structure and the type of toroidal drift eigenmodes in tokamaks is investigated rigorously, including the effects induced by the toroidal geometry such as the coupling mode, the radial variation of plasma rotation velocity and the magnetic shear. 2. Drift-Type Waves in Rotating Tokamak Plasma
Abstract : The concept of energy production through the fusion of two light nuclei has been studied since the 1950’s. One of the major problems that fusion scientists have encountered is the confinement of the hot ionised gas, i.e. the plasma, in which the fusion process takes place. READ MORE

3. Drift Waves in General Toroidal Equilibria
Abstract : One of the main concerns in fusion research is to understand the anomalously high transport in magnetically confined plasmas. In recent years, substantial progress in the understanding of transport in terms of drift waves in fusion plasmas has been achieved. READ MORE

4. Prognostics and Health Management of Engineering Systems for Operation and Maintenance Optimisation
Abstract : Prognostics and health management (PHM) is an engineering discipline that aims to maintain system behaviour and function and ensure mission success, safety and effectiveness. Prognostics is defined as the estimation of remaining useful life. READ MORE

5. Drift waves in non-circular tokamak geometry
Abstract : One of the main concerns in fusion research is to understand the anomalously high transport in magnetically confined plasmas. In recent years, substantial progress in the understanding of transport in terms of drift waves in tokamaks has been achieved. READ MORE
