  1. 1. Fundamental deactivation mechanisms of Fe-BEA as NH3-SCR catalyst - Experimental studies and kinetic modeling

    Author : Soran Shwan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dealumination; Hydrothermal treatment; Catalyst deactivation; NH3-SCR; Kinetic ageing model; Catalyst ageing; Fe-BEA;

    Abstract : Due to globalization and an increasing transport sector the interest for more fuel efficient combustion engines operating under lean conditions has increased. The products formed during the burning process in internal combustion engines are major contributants to global air pollution, where carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) are the major toxic components regulated in many countries. 2. 2. Synthesis of Zeolites from Bolivian Raw Materials for Catalysis and Detergency Applications

    Author : Gustavo Garcia; Linda Sandström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Technology; Kemisk teknologi;

    Abstract : Zeolites are very useful in many technological applications such as catalysis, separation and purification of gases and solvents, ion-exchange, etc. The production of zeolites is nowadays carried out with a variety of reagents, such starting materials render large scale production of zeolites expensive. 3. 3. Palladium Catalyzed Methane Oxidation for Emission Control

    Author : Ida Friberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; water deactivation; methane oxidation; regeneration; Pd beta; Pd Al2O3; Si Al ratio; Ba; sulfur poisoning; Pd SSZ-13;

    Abstract : The use of methane based fuels, such as natural gas and biogas, benefits from lower emissions of CO2, CO, NOx, non-methane HC, SOx and particulate matters compared to traditionally used liquid fossil fuels. However, the exhaust gases contain significant levels of unburnt CH4 residuals, which are desirable to minimize since CH4 is a strong greenhouse gas with high global warming potential. READ MORE

  4. 4. Crystallization of NBA-ZSM-5 from kaolin

    Author : Wilson Aguilar-Mamani; Johanne Mouzon; Benoît Louis; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; zeolite; ZSM-5; n-butylamine; crystal; raw materials; Chemical Technology; Kemisk teknologi;

    Abstract : ZSM-5 is an aluminosilicate zeolite with high Si/Al ratio with suitable properties for catalysis, ion exchange, adsorption and membrane applications. The main goal of this thesis was to study the growth of ZSM-5 zeolite crystals from inexpensive natural sources of silica and alumina, as well as n-butylamine (NBA) as a low-cost structure directing agent. 5. 5. Study of the Synthesis of ZSM-5 from Inexpensive Raw Materials

    Author : Wilson Aguilar; Linda Sandström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Technology; Kemisk teknologi;

    Abstract : ZSM-5 is an aluminosilicate with high silica ratio with suitable properties for catalysis, ion exchange, adsorption and membrane applications. ZSM-5 is usually produced industrially from concentrated systems in which there is formation of an amorphous gel phase. READ MORE
