1. Concrete flat slabs and footings : Design method for punching and detailing for ductility
Abstract : Simple but still realistic physical models suitable for structural design of flat concrete plates and column footings with respect to punching are presented. Punching of a flat plate is assumed to occur when the concrete compression strain at the column edge due to the bending moment in the slab reaches a critical value that is considerably lower than the generally accepted ultimate compression strain 0. 2. Exploring the Scalability and Performance of Networks-on-Chip with Deflection Routing in 3D Many-core Architecture
Abstract : Three-Dimensional (3D) integration of circuits based on die and wafer stacking using through-silicon-via is a critical technology in enabling "more-than-Moore", i.e. functional integration of devices beyond pure scaling ("more Moore"). READ MORE

3. Development and results of the Swedish road deflection tester
Abstract : A project to construct a high-speed road deflection tester was initiated in the 1991. A mid-sized truck was used as a carrier for the first prototype. The results were promising and it was decided to build a full-size truck system. The new vehicle, based on a Scania R143 ML, was completed in 1997. READ MORE

4. Load-Carrying Capacity of Steel Girders and Panels with Thin-Walled Trapezoidally Corrugated Webs
Abstract : This thesis concerns the load-carrying capacity of steel girders and panels with thin-walled trapezoidally corrugated webs. Computer-based numerical methods are used as a tool and emphasis is placed on various parametric studies, covering geometric parameters, initial imperfections, material strain-hardening models, loading types and loading positions, and so forth. 5. Feedback Control of Robotic Friction Stir Welding
Abstract : The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process has been under constant developmentsince its invention, more than 20 years ago. Whereas most industrial applicationsuse a gantry machine to weld linear joints, there are applications which consistof complex three-dimensional joints, requiring more degrees of freedom fromthe machines.
