21. Modelling of intergranular stress corrosion cracking mechanism : Du som saknar dator/datorvana kan kontakta [email protected] för information
Abstract : When assessing nuclear power plant life, stress corrosion cracking (SCC) plays an important role. Stress corrosion cracking in nuclear power plants is well recognized and heavily researched. Still due to its complicated nature it is not completely understood. There are many different damage mechanisms behind SCC. READ MORE

22. Nanoplasmonics for solar cells
Abstract : The main source of our energy system, the fossil fuels, will eventually be depleted and also pose environmental and climate hazards. There is thus a need for alternative, renewable energy sources. Solar (photovoltaic) cells will play an important role as one of them. READ MORE

23. Diffusion studies in gels using holographic laser interferometry
Abstract : This thesis is an investigation of the potential of holographic laser interferometry for the study of diffusion of both small solutes and macromolecules. An investigation on the importance of errors due to light deflection in refarctive index gradients showed that the magnitude of the refractive index gradients were negligible for the system investigated. 24. High-resolution characterization of TiN diffusion barrier layers
Abstract : Titanium nitride (TiN) films are widely applied as diffusion barrier layers in microelectronic devices. The continued miniaturization of such devices not only poses new challenges to material systems design, but also puts high demands on characterization techniques. READ MORE

25. Quantitative methods for diffusion measurements in fluorescence microscopy
Abstract : In this work, statistical methods are developed for mapping mass transport locally based on images collected using a confocal laser scanning microscope. Besides presenting raster image correlation spectroscopy as an established method in fluorescence microscopy, we introduce a single particle tracking method which takes advantage of the raster scanning of the image in a confocal microscope.
