1. Studies on the use of digital radiography for the assessment of periapical bone lesions
Abstract : The aim was to study digital radiography and to evaluate the influence of image processing on digital dental radiographs for the assessment of periapical lesions. In four studies, artificial bone lesions were made periapically and interradicularly in the mandibular premolar and molar regions. READ MORE

2. Orthopaedic measurements with computed radiography. Methodological development, accuracy, and radiation dose with special reference to the weight-bearing lower extremity and the dislocating patella
Abstract : The overall aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a measurement system for computed radiography (CR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), permitting measurements of long distances and angles in and between related images. The developed measurement system, which was based on the QUESTOR Precision Radiography (QPR) system, was applied to the weight-bearing knee with special reference to the dislocating patella. 3. Quality Aspects of Digital Radiography in General Dental Practice
READ MORE

4. Physical and psychophysical properties of digital intraoral radiography
Abstract : Objectives: This thesis aimed to the evaluation of different digital intraoral radiographic systems, partly by defining objective measures of their physical properties, namely their resolution, signal and noise characteristics, and partly by employing methods to measure their psychophysical properties including viewer performance, such as the Perceptibility Curve test. In a next step, a mathematical model was developed to predict Perceptibility Curves without employing viewers. READ MORE

5. Scaphoid fractures : Studies on diagnosis and treatment
Abstract : Scaphoid fracture is most common in young individuals of working age. Without adequate diagnosis and treatment, long-term results are poor. Operative treatment is being recommended increasingly often instead of a long time in cast, although there is no evidence-based support for its superiority. READ MORE
