11. Global sequence and dispersion of ventricular repolarization: In vivo validation of non-invasive parameters using monophasic action potential mapping technique
Abstract : The purposes are to validate the noninvasive parameters, QT interval, QT dispersion, Tpeak-Tend interval, and the activation recovery time (ART) for estimation of global dispersion of ventricular repolarization (DVR), and to investigate the changes of repolarization sequence and DVR by altered ventricular pacing sites. The material consisted of 12 patients (Study I) and two series healthy pigs with 10 in each (Studies II and III; Studies IV and V). READ MORE

12. Error analysis of summation-by-parts formulations : Dispersion, transmission and accuracy
Abstract : In this thesis we consider errors arising from finite difference operators on summation-by-parts (SBP) form, used in the discretisation of partial differential equations. The SBP operators are augmented with simultaneous-approximation-terms (SATs) to weakly impose boundary conditions. READ MORE

13. Electromagnetic Dispersion Modeling and Analysis for Power Cables
Abstract : This thesis addresses electromagnetic wave propagation in power cables. It consists of five papers, where the three first papers are based on one and the same model, and the last two papers are based on a similar but slightly different model. READ MORE

14. Compaction, Flow and Dispersion in a Chromatographic Column
Abstract : An experimental and theoretical study of compaction, flow and hydrodynamic dispersion in a chromatographic column containing non-rigid particles is presented. Experiments were performed using chromatographic columns packed with either a dextran-based chromatographic gel or glass beads. READ MORE

15. Analysis of Dispersion Effects in Unreplicated Factorial Designs
Abstract : Methods for estimating and testing hypotheses of dispersion effects in two-level unreplicated factorial designs are studied. Under a particular = normal model, some linear combinations of the response variables are constructed in order to make a simple inference. READ MORE
