  1. 1. A domain-specific language for protocol stack implementation in embedded systems

    Author : Yan Wang; Veronica Gaspes; Thorsteinn Rögnvaldsson; Dimiter Driankov; Julia Lavall; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer and Systems Science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Embedded network software has become increasingly interesting for both research and business as more and more networked embedded systems emerge. Well-known infrastructure protocol stacks are reimplemented on new embedded hardware and software architectures. READ MORE

  2. 2. Systems Modeling and Modularity Assessment for Embedded Computer Control Applications

    Author : Dejiu Chen; KTH; []
    Keywords : Domain-Specific Architectures; Model-based System Design; Software Modularization and Components; Quality Metrics.; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : AbstractThe development of embedded computer control systems(ECS) requires a synergetic integration of heterogeneoustechnologies and multiple engineering disciplines. Withincreasing amount of functionalities and expectations for highproduct qualities, short time-to-market, and low cost, thesuccess of complexity control and built-in flexibility turn outto be one of the major competitive edges for many ECS products. 3. 3. Programming of coarse-grained reconfigurable architectures

    Author : Zain Ul-Abdin; Bertil Svensson; Veronica Gaspes; Dag Stranneby; Mario Porrmann; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Datalogi; Computer and Systems Science;

    Abstract : Coarse-grained reconfigurable architectures, which offer massive parallelism coupled with the capability of undergoing run-time reconfiguration, are gaining attention in order to meet not only the increased computational demands of high-performance embedded systems, but also to fulfill the need of adaptability to functional requirements of the application. This thesis focuses on the programming aspects of such coarse-grained reconfigurable computing devices, including the relevant computation models that are capable of exposing different kinds of parallelism inherent in the application and the ability of these models to capture the adaptability requirements of the application. Author : Jerker Bengtsson; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Parallel processing; reconfigurable architectures; stream processing; baseband; Computer engineering; Datorteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis concludes work conducted on exploring the usage of parallel and reconfigurable processor architectures in industrial high-performance embedded systems. This kind of systems has by tradition been built using a mix of digital signal processors and custom made hardware. READ MORE

  5. 5. Measuring the Evolution of Automotive Software Models and Meta-Models to Support Faster Adoption of New Architectural Features

    Author : Darko Durisic; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Modeling and meta-modeling; software measurement; automotive software architectures; software measurement;

    Abstract : Background: The ever-increasing amount of software in cars today combined with high market competition demands fast adoption of new software solutions in car development projects. One challenge in enabling such a fast adoption is to develop the architecture and models of the automotive software systems in a structured and controlled way. READ MORE
