7. Fundamental Properties of Functional Magnetic Materials
Abstract : Magnetic properties of powders, thin films and single crystals have been investigated using magnetometry methods. This thesis provides analysis and conclusions that are supported by the results obtained from spectroscopic and diffraction measurements as well as from theoretical calculations. READ MORE

8. Electrical Transport in Nanoparticle Thin Films of Gold and Indium Tin Oxide
Abstract : Electrical transport properties of nanoparticle gold films made by the gas evaporation method were analysed using resistivity measurements. Low temperature electrical transport measurements showed a cross-over from a temperature range dominated by inelastic scattering to a temperature range dominated by elastic scattering, presumably by grain boundaries. 9. Hydrogen Storage Materials : Design, Catalysis, Thermodynamics, Structure and Optics
Abstract : Hydrogen is abundant, uniformly distributed throughout the Earth's surface and its oxidation product (water) is environmentally benign. Owing to these features, it is considered as an ideal synthetic fuel for a new world energetic matrix (renewable, secure and environmentally friendly) that could allow a sustainable future development.
