  1. 1. Magnetotransport and Persistent Currents in Ballistic Microstructures

    Author : Thomas Swahn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : In this Thesis we discuss properties of different ballistic microstructures in the presence of a magnetic field. Three topics have been studied: (i) the magnetoconductance of a three-dimensional (3D) microwire, (ii) magnetotransport and persistent currents in a two-dimensional so called "quantum dot" in a gated AlGaAs heterostructure, and (iii) some magnetotransport properties of a quasi one-dimensional conducting channel in the same kind of material. 2. 2. If I can taste it, I want it... : sensory marketing in grocery retail stores

    Author : Johan Swahn; Åsa Öström; Micael Dahlén; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : detaljhandel; konsumentbeteende; marknadsföring; reklam; semantik; sensorik; sensoriska beskrivningar; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; Culinary Arts and Meal Science; Måltidskunskap; Måltidskunskap; Culinary Arts and Meal Science;

    Abstract : Avhandlingen syftar till att undersöka hur man kan utveckla ett kognitivt baserat sensoriskt språk för olika produkter i detaljhandel och därefter använda det i marknadsföringen i butiksledet. Vidare undersökts om denna marknadsföring har någon effekt på konsumenternas val av produkt. READ MORE

  3. 3. The right ventricle in volume or pressure overload : Insights from novel imaging techniques

    Author : Aleksandra Trzebiatowska-Krzynska; Eva Swahn; Niels Erik Nielsen; Lars Wallby; Marcus Carlsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This study is inspired by the gap in knowledge regarding the timing of cardiac surgery and interventions in adult patients with congenital heart disease. There are many parameters used assessing right ventricular function; however, most of them have pitfalls. READ MORE

  4. 4. Strategies to improve outcome in patients with ST elevation myocardial infarction treated with primary PCI

    Author : Tim Tödt; Eva Swahn; Jan Engvall; Magnus Janzon; Stefan James; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Background: ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) caused by a ruptured atherosclerotic plaque with overlying thrombosis leads to ischemia and progressively to the death of the myocardial cells supplied by the affected coronary artery. Rapid reperfusion with primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in an experienced centre is the preferred therapy for these patients. READ MORE
