1. Long-term performance of polymeric materials in nuclear power plants
Abstract : Access to energy is crucial for modern societies to function sustainably. In addition, nuclear power has for a long time been considered a reliable source of energy. However, the majority of nuclear power plants are reaching the end of their service lifetimes, and it is crucial to verify that every component can withstand the added service time. READ MORE

2. Electric Charges on Insulator Surfaces and their Influence on Insulator Performance
Abstract : AbstractPolymeric materials used in high voltage insulation systems are subjected to electric fields which can be strong enough to initiate electrical discharges in the surrounding gas environment. Generated electrical charges may be deposited on polymer surfaces and alter electric field distributions, thus affecting insulation performance and their corresponding breakdown characteristics. 4. Polymeric Outdoor Insulators - A Long-term Study
Abstract : The long-term performance and the material state of polymeric insulators were examined from December 1987 to February 1997. To a large extent the study was conducted at Anneberg field station, on the west coast of Sweden. The project comprised a great number of commercially available polymeric insulators from several prominent manufacturers. READ MORE
