16. Content and Resource Management in Edge Networks
Abstract : In this thesis, we investigate and develop new methods for efficient and functional use of resources in edge networks. Setting this work aside from previous work, we study User Generated Content (UGC) such as social media information and data generated in the new emerging Internet of Things systems. READ MORE

17. Task Placement and Resource Allocation in Edge Computing Systems
Abstract : The evolution of wireless and hardware technology has led to the rapiddevelopment of a variety of mobile applications. Common to these applicationsis that they have low latency and high computational requirementsthat often cannot be fulfilled by individual devices due to their insufficientcomputational power, memory and battery capacity. 18. Decentralized Location-aware Orchestration of Containerized Microservice Applications : Enabling Distributed Intelligence at the Edge
Abstract : Services that operate on public, private, or hybrid clouds, should always be available and reachable to their end-users or clients. However, a shift in the demand for current and future services has led to new requirements on network infrastructure, service orchestration, and Quality-of-Service (QoS). READ MORE

19. Improving Soft Real-time Performance of Fog Computing
Abstract : Fog computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings data processing from remote cloud data centers into the vicinity of the edge of the network. The computation is performed closer to the source of the data, and thus it decreases the time unpredictability of cloud computing that stems from (i) the computation in shared multi-tenant remote data centers, and (ii) long distance data transfers between the source of the data and the data centers. 20. On linear graph invariants related to Ramsey and edge numbers : or how I learned to stop worrying and love the alien invasion
Abstract : In this thesis we study the Ramsey numbers, R(l,k), the edge numbers, e(l,k;n) and graphs that are related to these. The edge number e(l,k;n) may be defined as the least natural number m for which all graphs on n vertices and less than m edges either contains a complete subgraph of size l or an independent set of size k.
