  1. 6. Modelling and Experimental Investigation of the Dynamics in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells

    Author : Katarina Wiezell; Göran Lindbergh; Lars Pettersson; Anders Dahlkild; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; polymer electrolyte fuel cell; modelling; electrochemical impedance spectroscopy; water transport; membrane; Electrochemistry; Elektrokemi;

    Abstract : In polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFC) chemical energy, in for example hydrogen, is converted by an electrochemical process into electrical energy. The PEFC has a working temperature generally below 100 °C. Under these conditions water management and transport of oxygen to the cathode are the parameters limiting the performance of the PEFC. 2. 7. On Gas Contaminants, and Bipolar Plates in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

    Author : Yasna Acevedo Gomez; Carina Lagergren; Göran Lindbergh; Rakel Wreland Lindström; Qinfeng Li; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PEM fuel cell; contaminants; ammonia; nitrogen dioxide; degradation; recovery; bipolar plates; electroplating; Ni-Mo; Ni-Mo-P; internal contact resistance; PEM bränslecell; föroreningar; ammoniak; kvävedioxid; degradering; återhämtning; bipolära plattor; elektroplätering; Ni-Mo; Ni-Mo-P; interna kontaktmotståndet; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell is an electrochemical device that converts chemical energy into electrical energy through two electrocatalytic reactions. The most common catalyst used is platinum on carbon (Pt/C), which has shown the best performance in the fuel cell until now. READ MORE

  3. 8. Hybrid materials for lithium-ion batteries

    Author : Cesario Ajpi Condori; Göran Lindbergh; Anders Lundblad; Andrew Kentaro Inge; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hybrid battery materials; conducting polymer composite; metal organic compounds; lithium-ion batteries.; Kemi; Chemistry; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The Lithium‐ion batteries are the most important power source for electronic devices as electronics, storage and the different electric vehicles. The research and development of new materials for different applications has increased, especially in the development of materials with better electrochemical properties (Specific capacity, rate capability, high energy density and cyclability).
