21. Nitrous Oxide Emission from Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion
Abstract : In the present thesis N2O results are presented from several measurement projects on two commercial circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers. Traditional parameter studies have been carried out, as well as test programs where various nitrogen-containing species were injected into the furnace or gas-concentration profiles in the combustion chamber were measured. 22. Circumstellar dust emission from nearby Solar-type stars
Abstract : Far-infrared excess above the photosphere of a star indicates the presence of a circumstellar dust disc which is a sign-post for extrasolar planets, and was first detected in the mid 1980s. Dust discs are intricately connected to planets and planetesimals, give insights in the dynamics and evolution of the system, and are also useful for future exoplanet-observations. READ MORE

23. Flexibility from local resources: Congestion management in distribution grids and carbon emission reductions
Abstract : Flexibility from local energy systems has been discussed as a facilitator for the transition towards a more carbon-neutral energy system. Two use cases of this flexibility are congestion management in electricity distribution networks, and an individual-driven reduction of carbon footprints. READ MORE

24. Fundamental studies of catalytic systems for diesel emission control
Abstract : Due to global lean exhaust gas and new emission regulations, exhaust aftertreatment systems of diesel engines are more and more sophisticated and composed of a series of catalytic units. In the present work, two of these catalytic systems were studied with different approach. READ MORE

25. EMI from Switched Converters – Simulation Methods and Reduction Techniques
Abstract : In this thesis, the conducted EMI from switched power converters has been analyzed using various existing models, own-derived models as well as measurements. The ingoing passive components in a switching converter have been modeled with respect to their high frequency behavior and the static and dynamic behavior of the active semiconductors has been analyzed.
