  1. 1. Chiral Separation of Amines by Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis using Low Molecular Weight Selectors

    Author : Ylva Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Ulf Bondesson; Lars Blomberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Chiral Separation; Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Enantioresolution; Electro-osmotic Flow; Pharmaceuticals; Enantiomeric Amines; Low Molecular Weight Selector; Farmaceutisk kemi; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : Three chiral selectors (diketogulonic acid, benzoxycarbonylglycylproline and ketopinic acid) have been introduced for enantioseparation of pharmacologically active amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The use of organic solvents, instead of aqueous buffers in the background electrolyte facilitated ion-pair formation between the analytes and the chiral selectors. READ MORE

  2. 2. Enantiomeric Separations using Chiral Counter-Ions

    Author : Jakob Haglöf; Curt Pettersson; Anders Karlsson; Jacques Crommen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Capillary Electrophoresis; Chiral Counter-Ion; Divalent Dipeptide; Enantioselectivity; Electroosmosis; Chemometrics; Molecular Descriptor; Structure-Enantioselectivity Relationship; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis describes the use of chiral counter-ions for the enantiomeric separation of amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The investigations have been concentrated on studies of the influence, of the chiral counter-ion, the solvent, the electrolyte and the analyte, on the enantioselective separation. READ MORE

  3. 3. Asymmetric [2,3]-Sigmatropic Rearrangement of Allylic Ammonium Ylides

    Author : Jan Blid; Peter Somfai; James C. Anderson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; asymmetric; [2; 3]-sigmatropic rearrangement; allylic amine; ammonium ylide; Lewis acid; enantioselective; boron; phosphazene base; NMR spectroscopy; DFT-calculations; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : The thesis describes the realization of an asymmetric [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of achiral allylic amines. It is divided into two parts; the first part deals with the development of a Lewis acid-mediated [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement and the second the asymmetric version thereof. READ MORE

  4. 4. Separation of Pharmaceuticals by Capillary Electrophoresis using Partial Filling and Multiple-injections

    Author : Henrik Lodén; Curt Pettersson; Torbjörn Arvidsson; Ahmad Amini; Morgan Stefansson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Capillary Coating; Chiral Separation; Enantiomers; Mass-spectrometric Detection; Method Validation; Multiple-injection Capillary Zone Electrophoresis; Non-aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Organic Solvents; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Quantitative Analysis;

    Abstract : Different multiple-injection methodologies and the partial filling technique (PFT) have been utilized for separation of pharmaceuticals by capillary elec-trophoresis. In multiple-injection capillary zone electrophoresis (MICZE), the samples and all standards, used for construction of the calibration curve, are analyzed within a single run. READ MORE
