21. MULTICOMPONENT SPRAY-TURBULENCE INTERACTION
Abstract : Blended fuels are gaining importance in automotive industry owing to stringent legislations for emissions. It is important to understand the fuel spray formed as a consequence of injecting blended fuels into the engine (for direct injection engines) and also the influence of fuel spray on combustion properties. 22. Integration of Surface Acoustic Wave and Microfluidic Technologies for Liquid-Phase Sensing Applications
Abstract : This thesis discusses a new concept for construction of a novel SAW in-liquid sensor employing surface acoustic wave resonance (SAR) in a one-port configuration. In this concept, the reflective gratings of a one-port SAW resonator are employed as mass loading-sensing elements, while the SAW transducer is protected from the measurement environment, reducing power losses significantly. 23. On the Aerodynamic Design of the Boxprop
Abstract : Economic factors and environmental awareness are driving the evolution of aircraft engines towards increasingly lower fuel consumption and emissions. The Counter-Rotating Open Rotor (CROR) is actively being researched around the world, promising a significantly increased propulsion efficiency relative to existing turbofans by employing two, unducted, counter-rotating propeller blade rows, thereby increasing the bypass ratio of the engine and decreasing nacelle drag. 24. AURALIZATION, PERCEPTION AND DETECTION OF TYRE–ROAD NOISE
Abstract : Due to improvements in combustion engines and electric engines for cars, tyre noise has become the prominent noise source at low and medium speeds. Models exist that simulate the noise produced by a rolling tyre, as do models that auralize specific traffic situations from a basic data set. READ MORE

25. Synthetic Paper for Point-of-Care Diagnostics : Capillary control, surface modifications, and their applications
Abstract : Capillary-based platforms for diagnostics are popular for the point-of-care diagnostics market because of their low cost, easy fabrication, and easy operation. Lateral flow tests are an excellent example of capillary-based platforms for point-of-care diagnostics. READ MORE
