  1. 1. Resource and Environmental Impacts of Resource-Efficiency Measures Applied to Electronic Products

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Hampus André; [2018]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; scarce metals; life cycle assessment; resource-efficiency; electronic products; resource depletion; circular economy; metal resource use;

    Abstract : Natural resources such as ecosystems, land, water and metals underpin the functioning of economies and human well-being, and are becoming increasingly scarce due to growth in population and affluence. Metals are increasingly demanded for their specific properties as modern technology develops. READ MORE

  2. 2. Managing high environmental performance? Applying life cycle approaches and environmental certification tools in the building and real estate sectors

    University dissertation from Stockholm, Sweden : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Nils W. O. Brown; KTH.; [2017]

  3. 3. Improved environmental assessment in the development of wood-based products: Capturing impacts of forestry and uncertainties of future product systems

    University dissertation from Stockholm, Sweden : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Gustav A Sandin; [2013]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; wood; water use; scenario modelling; land use; impact assessment; product development; environmental assessment; end-of-life modelling; sustainability assessment; forestry;

    Abstract : The prospect of reducing environmental impacts is a key driver for the development of new wood-based products. But as wood-based products are not necessarily environmentally superior to non-wood alternatives, there is a need to assess the environmental impact of the product and guide the development process. 4. 4. Environmental risk assessment of shipwrecks – Model development and application

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Hanna Landquist; [2016]
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bayesian updating; shipwreck; environmental risk assessment; fault tree analysis; decision support;

    Abstract : Potentially polluting shipwrecks containing oil or other hazardous substances pose a threat to the marine environment. This is a global problem and many shipwrecks stem from the Second World War having been deteriorating on the sea floor since then. Only in Swedish waters more than 300 wrecks are estimated to pose an environmental threat. READ MORE

  5. 5. Environmental Assessment of Emerging Technologies The Case of Alternative Transport Fuels
